This super honey box accepts Dadant US ½ standard frames (482×145 mm). It has a frame capacity of 10 Hoffman frames.
Honey Paw hives in expanded polystyrene (EPS) have a density greater than 100 kg/m³. Very good thermal insulation and therefore better for bees to winter.

Wondering the hive painting? We do recommend it! Painting protects the hive from the water and UV radiation thus it improves the durability. And, of course, painted hives look nice and they are easier to clean. We don’t recommend painting the inside surfaces. Stewart has made also a complete painting guide, view it on YouTube.
In order to save space during the transfer, the hives are delivered disassembled into four parts.
